Pelaksaanan Visit Aceh Year 2013 akan menuai berbagai persoalan. Wisatawan asing takut dengan pelaksanaan syariat Islam di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Sementara pemerintah menargetkan 1,3 juta wisatawan dengan mengandalkan 808 objek wisata.

Plt Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Aceh, Rasyidah mengatakan calon wisatawan asing yang ingin berkunjung ke Aceh beranggapan pelaksanaan syariat Islam menakutkan.

"Tidak perlu takut berkunjung ke Aceh, karena keamanan sudah sangat kondusif dan masyarakat ramah siap menyambut turis dari manapun," ujar Rasyidah menjelaskan kepada wartawan, Rabu (4/7/2012).
